The new branches to try as soon as possible (and the ones to forget)

Testing next week

Some new concepts have been launched quietly in recent days or will take place in the coming months at the latest. Enough to set up a test schedule for foodies when they come back from the Easter holidays…

This is the case for the Gusto Naturale restaurant, a new Italian concept launched not too long ago in the Foetz/Schifflange business district, with a rather attractive business lunch and menu, as well as the grocery corner and the carry. And that’s clearly on our short-term test schedule! If only for the sweetbreads cooked at a low temperature and browned in the charcoal oven, accompanied by grilled radicchio castelfranco, red pepper jelly and courgettes à la scapece, which when reading the ‘entitled…

In the Gare district of the capital, it is a new concept for Manso Group and its Gringos on the Place de Paris, which will give way in a few days to Casa España, a real “mini-Barrio”, a brother of the flagship restaurant of the group in Kirchberg. A change that comes at an opportune moment, as the neighborhood is increasingly attracting nightlife due to the works carried out and the very practical tram stop…

Another group, another long-awaited opening with the new establishment of the De Toffol brothers, the Bella Ciao, right on the Place d’Armes (former bakery Paul). The name clearly indicates a continuity with the Partigiano, which is still a hit on the rue de Strasbourg, with a particular focus on cocktails. Testing next week (still waiting for the exact day…).

For those who haven’t seen our article devoted to it not so long ago, the new B51 bar also opened its doors last week. Bisi and his team offer a friendly atmosphere, good wine and good beers, a possible shisha on the terrace and above all a lot of good humor.

B51: 51, rue de Clausen, Luxembourg

Last month we also exclusively announced the reopening of the famous Boos in Bridel… This weekend, the business will welcome its first customers, without an official event for the time being, but with great enthusiasm from the new direction.

Finally, to continue the evening, E-Space has invested heavily and recently opened its brand new club in Weiler-la-tour, with VIP tables, a huge dance floor, a show worthy of Vegas and the unstoppable DJ Kroogz at the turntables like a native. Full of nightlife resources and ambitions, a few minutes drive from the city.

Keep an eye on

Two other openings are taking a little longer, but should, if all goes well, finally see the light of day by the summer.

On the Grand-Rue side, it’s the new champagne and food bar So whistle! which is entering its final phase and should open its doors at the end of the month. The establishment, co-managed by Vinoteca and Craft et Compagnie, will offer – in addition to an extensive menu of champagnes from authors and big names from the Champagne – a few small dishes that we can already imagine are daring because they are cooked by Hugo Maia, Scott’s hyper-creative former chef. † impatience.

A few steps below, in the pretty courtyard of the Stedelijk Museum, chefs Giovanni Vaccaro and Mathieu Morvan await the last deliveries of equipment to inaugurate their brasserie L’Hêtre, the museum’s new restaurant. Knowing the two professionals, we can expect fresh and seasonal cuisine, as well as careful work, which we should be able to taste in a few weeks…

In Belair, another hospitality benchmark is making a comeback: La Bergamote, which becomes Bonds in the pretty square of Nancy† We don’t know much about the general concept, which should see the light of day by the beginning of summer, but we have heard of a certain Philippe Ismaili who oversees the kitchens. We will of course keep you informed of all this!

In all three cases, the management of these prospective sites told them to be late with openings. due to delays in the delivery of materialsone of the problems the sector has been facing for months…

Finally, let’s not forget the long-awaited roof of the Royal-Hamilius, the SixSeven, whose opening (finally?) is expected before National Day… but has yet to be confirmed. Tension.

To forget, unfortunately…

New openings and coming out of the crisis also go hand in hand with closures… Some have not really survived the last few months and are therefore disappearing from the foodie circuit. This is the case for the restaurant Sana instead of weapons, for The beautiful adventure a stone’s throw away and in front of the Sawasdee Cafebut still a meeting point of many lovers of Thai cuisine in Bonnevoie… Same fate for the club moov in Steinsel, which celebrated its last parties at the beginning of April for lack of sleepless nights…
