Due to the debate between the two rounds between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, M6 has chosen to deprogram its culinary competition. In situ ? The channel is rebroadcasting an episode of Cauchemar en cuisine. In January 2020, Philippe Etchebest had left for the Bouches-du-Rhônes to support the twins Mylène and Mélanie, employed by their sister Séverine at the head of this restaurant. And if the adventure was sometimes complicated, their sisters managed to save their restaurant since more than two years after the death of the chef, it still exists in the town of Sénas. “Since my visit, the restaurant has almost doubled its turnover”assured Philippe Etchebest in Nightmare in the kitchen.

“Mylène and Mélanie have found their rhythm and regularly change menus. Séverine only keeps the accounts. They are more satisfied and calmer about the future of the restaurant”, the leader continued. To save their company, which was clearly suffering from the health crisis, the sisters redesigned the menu. Today La Durancette mainly offers homemade pizzas that seem to delight customers’ taste buds“In order to offer you quality, refined and gourmet dishes, we work with fresh, local and seasonal products. Therefore, some dishes may not be on the menu on certain days and others may be added depending on the arrivals of the moment and the wishes of the cooks, we read on the site. Come and treat yourself and discover all the subtleties of our southern cuisine prepared with love!”

Nightmare in the kitchen: two episodes this Wednesday

When Mélanie takes care of the pizzas, the others cook more traditionally. “Our traditional restaurant has been located in Sénas since July 2012 and is today an essential place in the city”, congratulate the participants of Cauchemar en cuisine. And to add, about their cuisine: “Inspired by the terroir of the South, our home cooking is made with the heart and from carefully selected seasonal products. Let yourself be seduced by our kitchens made of fresh products and our daily menus on the slate!” Viewers can therefore rediscover their adventure on Wednesday 20 April from 9:05 PM.
